Chelsea were back in action on Saturday afternoon after their impressive performance against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League semi-final as they face Fulham.
The London derby became more decisive for the blues when Leicester City failed to win their match against Southampton on Friday night.
Thomas Tuchel and his team knew that a win would move them just two points adrift Leicester City and they ensured that this was achieved.
Germany international, Kai Havertz who was given a nod in the starting lineup scored Chelsea’s two goals in each half as he continues his good form under Thomas Tuchel.
Eduardo Mendy also put in another impressive performance to ensure that the blues did not concede any goal.
Chelsea will now be hoping they continue their good form when they face Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash on Wednesday.
